Marion County is hosting a two‑day Drive the Road Leadership Training on October 6 and 7, 2026, and we would like to extend this opportunity to public safety and public health professionals across the region.

This course is designed for both current and aspiring supervisors and offers practical, scenario‑based leadership development. Participants will gain tools in accountability, conflict resolution, coaching, mentoring, communication styles, employee evaluations, and effective Performance Improvement Plans. The training goes beyond theory, focusing on real‑world application and interactive discussion.

The course is instructed by Paul Laney and Mary Phillippi, who bring more than 50 years of combined public safety leadership experience.

Training Details:
• Dates: October 6–7, 2026
• Time: 0800–1700 each day
• Location: Marion County Public Health Department

• Cost: $500 per attendee
